Brandon has written short and full length plays and is interested in writing about complex characters in a compassionate and non-judgmental way.
His work currently explores fragile masculinities, with a focus on Northern, working-class and Queer men.
was the first recipient of Papatango Theatre Company’s Playwrights' Studio Funding and is also a member of Graeae Theatre Company’s Writers Network.
Brandon undertook the role of dramaturg for the first time in 2024 to support a project at The Young Vic and has since worked in this role for further projects at venues including Seven Dials Playhouse, Etcetera Theatre and Theatre Peckham.
Brandon has had full-length work produced at his local studio space and is developing new work in addition to being open to commissions and new collaborations with artists and venues.
His distinctive writing style aims to challenge the expectations and stereotypes imposed on men by pushing the boundaries of naturalism through the incorporation of surreal elements.
